Your favorite Litchfield ladies will be coming back to Netflix soon, and this season promises to be the most dramatic yet.
‘Orange is the New Black’ is one of those shows that releases all its season’s episodes at once, which is great because you don’t have to wait an entire week to watch the next episode. But this also means you can watch the entire season in one day, and then you’re left waiting an entire year for the next season to come out.
For anyone who isn’t an OITNB fan out there, you’re missing out on a truly fantastic show.
The series follows a group of women inside Litchfield Penitentiary as they all deal with their incarceration in different ways. For Piper Chapman, a newbie to the prison system, this means causing a lot of problems for herself as she attempts to find her place inside those walls.
For instance, in the second episode she learned the hard way that you should never insult the prison cook’s food to her face, especially if she also happens to be a fellow inmate.
Last season left us with some pretty big questions that we desperately need answered.
I won’t give any spoilers, but let’s just say season 7 is highly anticipated. But that’s also because this will be the show’s final season.
Yes, like all good things, OITNB must too come to an end.
We’ve already had to say goodbye to ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Big Bang Theory’ this year, so what’s one more show?
Now we finally have an official premiere date for this seventh and final season.
Netflix just announced season seven will be hitting Netflix on July 26.
In a video posted to the official Netflix Instagram, the women of the show can be seen singing the series’ opening credits song, “You’ve Got Time”.
From the sounds of things, the inmates at Litchfield have a lot to come to terms with this season.
According to LADBible , this is the seventh season’s plot summary:
“Piper struggles with life on the outside, while life in Max, as corrupt and unjust as ever, goes on without her. Taystee’s friendship with Cindy still hangs in the balance as her life sentence looms, Gloria and her kitchen staff are confronted by the hard truth of Polycon’s newest profit stream, while others chase drugs or dreams and grapple with the reality of their place in this world.”
Suffice it to say, it sounds like we’re in for a pretty fantastic final season.
