The number one thing that should happen when you have kids is simple: organize. Once you’re about to have a baby that can crawl and grab things, putting some of your prized possessions out of arm’s reach is vital. Kids will grab anything, especially if it looks fun. And, if they see you using it, there’s a 100% chance they will try to use it, too.
Kids love to try new things!

When they see you using some products you love, they want to look just like you. Take it from kids who always get into their mom’s clothing and jewelry — they just want to look like mommy.
When I was younger, I actually tried to shave my non-existent beard.

After watching my dad shave his beard, I thought it would be a good idea to shave mine. But, of course, I didn’t have one. And, instead, I took my Pre-K school pictures with a huge bandaid on my chin.
Word to the wise — all parents need to lock up the good stuff.

Anything that’s expensive or sentimental should be put on a high shelf where no kid can get to it. Especially when it comes to mommy’s makeup collection—things can get messy real quick.
Char Offley of Wiltshire, England learned this the hard way.

The mom of two posted on Facebook a bit of trouble her toddler had gotten into when she decided to play around with some of her makeup one day. It got real messy real quick.
Offley’s two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Ava, got into her eyebrow gel.

Now, all ladies who use eyebrow gel knows it’s usually pretty dark and, it can make a mess if you drop it on your shirt, or your bathroom rug. We usually try to be careful with it.
Offley’s daughter, however, was not careful.

Although she did put the makeup away, because her daughter tends to try and play with it, the little girl got into it anyway. And, before she realized what was happening, that toddler was covered head-to-toe in brow gel.
She found her daughter literally elbow-deep in eyebrow gel.

It was all over her face, her dress, her arms, her hands, and of course—the carpet. Obviously the first thing that Offley thought to do was clean up this hot mess.
It all happened so fast.

Offley told Cafe Mom that she was only gone for a few minutes.
“I was washing up a baby bottle for my youngest to have a feed, I was literally only in the kitchen for around two to three minutes and I checked them playing together and watching the tv before I left,” she said.
And, she’s learned her lesson.

“Obviously I’ve learnt not to keep my makeup bag in the living room anymore! It was funny to me and I didn’t tell her off or anything, I couldn’t be mad at the face that just wanted to copy mommy,” the mom said.
