With the coronavirus spreading and many at risk of catching the illness, people all across the world are quarantining at home and practicing social distancing. It’s no secret that the world has been put on hold.
Explaining this to children can sometimes be hard.
Trying to have young kids understand why we must stay home and how long we have to be inside for can be complicated and difficult.
And, trying to get them to stay optimistic can also be hard.
We wouldn’t want our kids to feel defeated and upset over the amount of time they need to stay indoors and inside.
Every parent wants to protect their children from the negative impacts of the emotional turmoil of this pandemic.
So many families are looking for ways to keep their children’s hopes and dreams alive, even when they may feel isolated and down.
One family found a wonderful and touching way to keep their kids looking forward to life after coronavirus.
Katie Eborall shared the photos of her activity on her Facebook page, where she and her children and husband created a “post-pandemic bucket list.”

She wrote: “We’ve started a new thing in our house today and sharing it in case anyone else wants to try.”
“Every time we wish we could do something, go somewhere, treat ourselves, see someone we love, visit a new place, invite people to visit us, we’re going to write it down on a post it note and put it in a jar.”
It helps her children have things to look forward to.
“When all this is over this will be our bucket list and we’ll work our way through the jar and be more grateful than ever for the little and lovely things in our lives. Until then we’ll enjoy watching the jar fill up with magical things to look forward to,” she said.
Many people loved the idea!
Some teachers wrote that they would be passing the idea onto their students to try out for projects.
Others commented on how much they loved it.
Many said that it was perfect for their children and they absolutely adored the idea of keeping hopes and dreams alive in their children.
What better way to stimulate their imaginations and desires than by making a bucket list?!
