Tess Holliday is hitting back at body-shamers, once again.
The 36-year-old model took to Instagram to share a video recounting how she clapped back at a woman who criticized her figure and suggested she lose weight while she was waiting in a doctor’s office.

Tess Holliday has no time for body shamers.
The 36-year-old model shared a video to her Instagram on Thursday, detailing an unfortunate interaction she had with a random woman while she was waiting in a doctor’s office.
She recalled “minding my own business” before a strange woman struck up a conversation with her.
“She says, ‘You are so pretty. You have a beautiful face and you have beautiful hair.’ And I mean, I look like this, and my face is covered, but I’m like, ‘Oh, thank you!'” Holliday said .
“But she couldn’t just leave it there,” the Eff Your Beauty Standards creator said.
Tess explained that the woman asked her why she wouldn’t want to lose weight.
“She then proceeded to tell me, ‘Why don’t you just lose a little bit of weight?'” she said .
Tess said that she’s “no stranger” to hurtful comments like this one, and that it in fact, “happens often.”
She admitted that normally, her instinct would have been to say something polite and agreeable to save face.
“Usually when someone says something like that to me — because I have deeply seeded trauma and people pleasing tendencies, I usually say something to kind of placate their diet talk to make them feel a little bit better,” she said.
“I’m usually like, ‘Well you know I work out,’ [or] whatever,” she added ..
This time, however, Tess said she “was tired” of the criticism, and decided to stand her ground.
“I looked at her, took a breath and I said, and I still can’t believe I said this — look at me smiling, I’m so proud of myself,” she said ..
Tess revealed that she informed the woman that she’s a very successful plus-size model, and so evidently, her weight has not been a problem in her life. On the contrary.
“I looked at her and I said, ‘Ma’am, I am one of the most famous plus-size models in the world; I think I’m doing okay,'” she recalled ..
She then said that the woman doubled-down and tried to give her advice on how not to over-eat.
“Then she goes: ‘You know, I just stop eating when I’m not hungry anymore,” she shared ..
Thankfully, the nurse called Tess’ name after that, and she was able to walk away from the conversation.
And after that mic-dropper of a comeback, the nurse’s timing could not have been any better.
“I just said ., ‘Bodies are weird.’ And then I looked at my phone.”
“And God bless — I hear Terry the nurse say my name, and I was like, ‘Bye!'” Tess concluded.
