Miley Cyrus has had a whirlwind few days. With her new EP She Is Coming released last week, Miley has been back in the spotlight which should be a good thing, ya know? Miley should be celebrating her handwork and enjoying her success!
Miley has been in Europe promoting her new EP and singing her lil’ heart out for her fans overseas.
We’re all happy to have our Milerz back and better than ever!
Unfortunately, her press tour took a devastating turn when she was groped and kissed by an aggressive fan in Barcelona.
The attack came while Miley was walking with husband Liam Hemsworth from their hotel to their car.
Of course, fans were livid when they saw what happened.
The invasion of privacy, the failure of her security team and the fact that anyone thinks it’s okay to g***e a stranger like that is absolutely bonkers.
Miley hadn’t commented about the assault until last night.
Playing a clip from Inside Edition showing the attack, Miley wrote on her Instagram story “She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with 5 different people.”
She continued, “She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked.”
A clip from The Talk played in the background with co-host Sara Gilbert discussing the backlash Miley has received on social media, saying “One person commenting ‘the way she was dressed she asked for it’ —ridiculous.”
Cyrus continued, “She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent.”
While fellow co-host Sheryl Underwood commented, “‘No matter how many Wrecking B***s she swung, the things that she’s done, that doesn’t mean she wants her personal space to be violated.”
What’s even more shocking is the amount of people who have blamed Cyrus for her own attack, including GROWN WOMEN.
Miley posted this series of Facebook comments to her Instagram and Twitter.
These reactions make me sick to my stomach.
Can we all just agree that no one should ever grab, g***e or and kiss another human without their consent? It’s not cool and it’s not right — it’s just straight up gross and aggressive.
Newsflash: it’s 2019 and women don’t exist for the male gaze! Women can and should wear whatever they want without fear of being sexually harassed.
We’re with you 1000000% Miley.
That type of violent and disgusting behavior cannot and will not be tolerated!
