After months of fans begging for it, Mayim Bialik finally hosted Jeopardy! earlier this month. The sitcom legend took to the podium to host everyone’s favorite trivia show and luckily for fans, she’s totally rocked her two-week run!
Of course, everyone and their brother have a lot of opinions about who hosts Jeopardy! and it seems Mayim’s son is the one we have to thank for her finally stepping up to the plate and now, the ratings are in!

Of course, the Jeopardy! community is still mourning the loss of long-time host Alex Trebek, who lost his battle with cancer last year.
Since Alex’s death, various celebrities have been brought in to try and fill the void while the show searches for a full-time replacement.
If you’re a frequent watcher of the show, you will already know they’ve had many celebs take a crack at the gig.
While some have been fan favorites — Ken Jennings, Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers — others have been surrounded by controversy.
If you’ll recall, Twitter was super upset with Dr. Oz took the hosting job back in March.
Fans of the trivia show called the talk show host a “snake oil salesman” and were struggling to understand the network’s decision.
In addition to the hosts they’ve already had, there’s still many people fans want to see host.
Of course, Reading Rainbow’s LeVar Burton is at the top of that list for anyone that enjoys SMILING!
Fans petitioned to have the star host and he is scheduled to take on the gig next month!
However, in my humble opinion, no one compares to Mayim — she was meant to host this show!
The Big Bang Theory star hosted the show at the beginning of the month and I thought everyone loved her just as much as I did!
Earlier this month, the actress revealed it was her teenage son who convinced her to take the hosting job.
“My older son is the one who originally said ‘Did you know they’re looking for Jeopardy! hosts? I saw on the internet that maybe you should find out,'” she explained in a video posted to the show’s YouTube channel.
“So, he was really, really proud,” she smiled.
Now, fans are getting a look at the ratings and honestly, I’m kind of surprised at how lackluster they are!
According to The Wrap , Mayim’s two-week ratings fell short of anything spectacular.
If you can believe it, it gets worse.
As it turns out, her 5.0 demo rating put her at the very bottom of the list of guest hosts, alongside Anderson Cooper’s average 5.0 rating for his stint back in April.
Can I also just take a moment to say Anderson Cooper is also someone I thought people would love?!
I truly enjoyed watching him host the show and all my friends really enjoyed him, too!
She and Anderson fall just behind Dr. Oz, whose controversial hosting stint earned a 5.1 average rating.
I am honestly shocked by these ratings! She was such a fan favorite, I would have assumed her ratings would be higher!
I thought she was a total natural and fit the role of host very well!
I even called for her and LeVar Burton to host the show together, that’s how confident I am in her abilities.
