Could this past season of The Bachelor BE even messier?!?!
Matthew Perry, aka Chandler Bing from Friends , just called out the show in the most savage and unexpected way.
This past season of “The Bachelor” has been a doozy … to put it lightly.
You might need a glass of wine just to get through this quick recap of Peter Weber’s diastrous journey to find love.
The drama on the show started early on with Hannah Brown, the former Bachelorette and Peter’s ex, returning to the show *twice*.
The first was on night one when she gave him back his pilot wings.
And the second was when she hosted a s*x-themed group date and proceeded to talk awkwardly about her and Peter’s time in the “windmill.”
She and Peter also left the other girls for a long time so they could hash out their relationship.
This soon led to One. Big. Drama. Fest., setting the tone for the season, as there were *plenty* of other W*F moments.
For instance, he once sent former pageant queen Alayah home only to let her back on the show a week later.
This did not bode well with the other girls in the house who were against her.
Not only that, but Peter pretty much dug his own grave when he gave Alayah the group rose from the date that she was crashing.
But none of this even compares to the shocking twists and turns that took place during the season finale this past Monday and Tuesday night.
For once, host Chris Harrison was right in saying that it was the “most dramatic” finale ever.
Here’s the scoop: after Madison, one of Peter’s final two girls and the one he was *really* madly in love with, left the show, he was left with only Hannah-Anne.
Following conflicted emotions and certainly pressure from his family (ahem, Barb), he proposed.
However, during After the Rose on Tuesday night, fans saw Peter break off their engagement.
When Peter and Madison sort of got back together, this led to a *lot* of family drama since Barbara does not approve of Madision.
Basically, After the Final Rose turned into an episode of Jerry Springer with Barb going in on Madison on live TV.
It’s even been speculated that she told her husband in Spanish to say something bad about Madison…
The backlash for Barb on Twitter was insane.
“As a parent of two adult sons, I must say Barb is a manipulative, toxic parent who doesn’t respect her son and is a narcissist. She holds others to a standard she herself can not abide. Her behavior is an embarrassment. I promise your son will follow his love not you! #bachelor,” this user wrote .
And now, it appears that fans aren’t the only ones dumbfounded by this past season of “The Bachelor.”
Even Matthew Perry, aka Chandler from Friends , let his thoughts be known.
When “E! News” posted this image of Peter, his dad, and Barb, this season’s unlikely villain, he left this comment:
It’s hard to say whether Perry is a fan of the show and simply showing distaste towards the Weber family or whether he’s against the idea of The Bachelor as a whole.
Either way, Matthew’s not the first celeb to get involved with the franchise.
During Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette , both Mila Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher went on the show to help host a group date challenge.
During it, they admitted to the show being their “guilty pleasure.”
“Monday nights for us are… White wine, vodka tonic and turn on The Bachelor or Bachelorette,” the pair admitted.
Kris Jenner was even rumored to have had a fling with former Bachelor, Ben Flajnik.
The reality star visited Ben’s winery with family friend, Jonathan Cheban, during season 9 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians .
Each year, Jimmy Kimmel has the Bachelor or Bachelorette on his show to predict the winners, and he even once hosted a group date.
Comedian Amy Schumer has also been on the show, hosting none other than a comedy-focused group date.
Regardless of why Matthew was commenting, this much is true: could he BE anymore accurate?
This past season has been a sloppy mess and if you even think we’re tuning in next season, the answer is yes.
Showbiz down the tubes or not, this show is A+ entertainment!!
