Get your calendars out for marking right now, because these are the movies that DC and Marvel are going to be releasing within the next couple of years.
Are you excited? Be excited!
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

After splitting up with the Joker, Harley joins up with Black Canary and Huntress in order to save a young girl from a crime lord (who is probably going to be Black Mask).
‘The New Mutants’

Marvel’s first film set for 2020 has been delayed for almost two years now… and has been largely shrouded in mystery.
Could this be the new X-Men under Disney? Or is it something else?
‘Black Widow’

After years and years of being confined to other people’s movies, the only female original Avengers is finally getting her own.
It’s said to be a prequel to the Avengers movies.
‘Wonder Woman 1984’

The sequel to the critically acclaimed Wonder Woman is going to come out in 2020.
It’s going to be set in 1984, and Kristen Wiig is going to play Cheetah.
‘Morbius’

If you think Sony was totally out of the race by giving Spider-Man to Disney, you were wrong.
This one is going to be about a scientist who develops Vampire powers after trying to cure himself of a blood disease.
‘Venom 2’

Another film from Sony, this one is probably going to have Woody Harrelson as Carnage (if the end of the first film is to be believed).
Will people like this one as much as they did the first?
‘The Eternals’

This movie, reportedly, is supposed to be an epic.
Pretty bold considering we haven’t met any of these characters before. But if anyone can pull it off, it’s going to be Marvel.
‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’

This movie that is going to star the first-ever Chinese Marvel superhero is going to come out on February 21, 2021.
And it’s going to have the Mandarin in it!
‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

Apparently, this sequel to the Doctor Strange movie is going to be a horror.
Also, it’s going to feature Scarlet Witch, which will be a lot of fun… or, I mean it’s going to be really spooky!
‘The Batman’

This movie has been widely anticipated since it was announced that Robert Pattinson will be playing Bruce Wayne.
Since then we’ve been eagerly awaiting to hear anything and everything about it.
‘MCU Spider-Man 3’

The third movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man series is set to come out on July 16, 2021.
My prediction: it will be called Spider-Man: It’s Not The Going From Home I’m Concerned About, It’s The Coming .
‘Suicide Squad’

There has been a lot of secrecy going on when it comes to James Gunn’s reboot of the 2016 movie Suicide Squad , but as far as we know it has a star-studded cast.
‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

Not only are we going to get a new Taika Watiti directed Thor movie, but this time, Natalie Portman is going to return as a female Thor!
Wow! Wonder what Thor is going to do…
A ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’ Sequel

And finally, we get a sequel to one of the best animated movies of all time: Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse .
For those of us who loved the movie, you’ll have to wait until 2022 to see its sequel!
