A Virgin Atlantic flight attendant recently took to social media to share a heartwarming story about an elderly woman finally having her dream of flying first-class realized, thanks to one supremely generous fellow passenger.
According to Travel + Leisure , the man gave up his first-class seat so that the woman, who he’d only just met, could experience the luxurious form of travel herself for the very first time.
Flight attendant Leah Amy posted about the touching seat exchange on Facebook.

In the now-viral post , she wrote, “Of the hundreds of flights I’ve operated, I’ve had the pleasure of looking after footballers, supermodels and some Hollywood movie stars but let me tell you about my two favorite passengers EVER!”
She then introduced the world to Jack and Violet.
Jack was traveling back to Manchester, UK, from New York City with his family who had all booked first-class plane seats.

However, rather than sit in his luxe section, Jack sought out 88-year-old Violet, who was seated in economy, and offered to trade tickets with her.
“He then sat on the row of seats directly next to the economy toilets and never made a peep or asked for anything the rest of the flight,” Amy said. “No fuss, no attention, literally did it out of the kindness of his own heart, no one asked him too.”
Apparently, the pair had struck up a friendship while waiting for their flight to arrive at the airport.

According to the New Zealand Herald , Jack had decided Violet would get more out of his first-class seat than he ever would. So, when he boarded, he found her and proposed the seat swap of a lifetime.
Violet has apparently always dreamed of one day flying first-class but has never had the chance before.

“She travels to New York to see her daughter, but hasn’t been able to for a while because of a knee replacement,” Amy wrote online. “Her dream has always been to sit at the front, and Jack made that come true.”
She continued, “You should of seen her face, when I tucked her in her bed after supper. She said her daughter won’t believe her, and wanted a ‘selfie’ to prove it, but didn’t have a phone or an email address.”
Since posting about the sweet pair on Facebook, Amy’s post has gone viral, racking up over 8,000 reactions.

In the comments, people are praising Jack’s selflessness and his decision to give up his own seat to make an elderly woman’s dreams come true.
“Such a beautiful story,” one person wrote. “The smile on her face says it all. Pure joy and happiness. The world needs more kind gentlemen like you!”
Others are insisting the man we know only as Jack be located so he can be properly praised for his generosity.
Many people in the comments tagged Ellen DeGeneres in effort to catch her attention and bring Jack on her talk show.
“Find him!” one person wrote to the host, while another added, “We need to track him down!”
For now, Jack remains a relatively anonymous stranger who helped fulfill a stranger’s life-long dream and who reminds us that amid all the bad stories that seem to taking over the media, there are still good people out there doing good deeds.
