When I mention the colors red, white, and rosé, you probably have a good idea of what I’m talking about. Wine, of course! And while those three colors are the main groups of wine, there’s a couple of other colors making the wine world a little more colorful.
These bright pink and ocean blue wines from Gik Live! are sure to make people do a double take
If you saw these bright pink and vibrant blue bottles at the grocery store or in a liquor store, you may think it’s a weird alcoholic drink trying to pass as a fancy wine.

While it may be a bit shocking to see these colors in the wine aisle, they’re absolutely made of fermented grapes.
The wines come from Spanish wine company Gik Live! based in La Rioja, Spain.

The wines were expertly crafted by husband and wife oenologists, Tere and Javi, who keep the exact process a secret.
Why the vibrant colors? Well, the couple hopes to bring some optimism and delight to everyone’s days, “to turn regular days into wonderful days.”
The blue wine, called Gik Blue, is both citrusy and fruity.

There’s really no other descriptors, and the team leaves us up to the consumer to find the best pairing for the bright blue beverage.
It might be easy to assume that some sort of food coloring is used to achieve the vibrant color, but that isn’t the case at all. They teamed up with folks at the University of the Basque Country and other Food Tech institutions from the Basque region of Spain and France to create a technological processes of wine pigmentation.
Pretty cool, huh?
Their pink wine is a bubblegum pink rosé that’s filled with edible sparkles. It’s perfect for wine nights with the gals, baby showers, bachelorette parties, or solo ventures, because “wine” not.

The wines are sold in packs of three, six, or nine bottles, starting at 37,00€.
Unfortunately, if you’re from North America and want to give them a try, they don’t ship to the states just yet. We definitely hope these make their way across the pond eventually!
