What is it about small things sleeping inside other small things that is just so darn cute ? If a mouse ran across my kitchen floor right now I would probably just straight up move houses, but if I saw one sleeping inside a flower pot or a tiny matchbox, my heart would melt into a disgusting puddle of cuteness.
Maybe it’s the innocence of sleeping, or maybe it’s the adorableness of turning everyday objects into impromptu beds. Whatever the reason, we can’t get enough.
We especially can’t get enough of this dozing lizard who chose a pink rose for its nesting place.

According to Bored Panda , Megan Hixson was given the greatest gift possible when her daughter plucked a rose from the ground and gave it to her. Inside the flower, in addition to its lovely scent, was quite possibly the cutest sight possible: a napping lizard.
Thankfully Megan snapped some pics of the cute scene and shared them online so everyone could gush together.

Posted to Imgur , Hixson said captioned the series of photos, “As longas I live I will probably never see this again.”
Which is fair, because when do you ever see a lizard nap at all, let alone in what looks like would be the comfiest bed in entire world?
“It looked so cozy and peaceful we couldn’t bear to disturb it.”
Thankfully, Hixson and her daughter were respectful of the snoozing lizard and, after taking the appropriate amount of pics, left it alone to slumber in peace.
The Imgur post has garnered nearly 759,000 viewers and features lots of excellent comments.
Plenty of people have expressed a desire to find out just what it feels like to take a nap inside a flower (because that truly looks like the height of luxury). But I think the best comment is this one person who penned a quick poem as an ode to the lizard:
“Roses are red, lizards are green. All snuggly in the flower, don’t want to be seen.”
This is an absolute mood .
For anyone who isn’t lizard-savvy, this little fella is a green anole lizard.

They’re active during the day and are usually pretty territorial so, as a result, they can be very aggressive. However, this particular guy looks pretty young, and these particular lizards are left on their own after birth. So it looks like this baby lizzy was just feeling sleepy and wanted to find a comfy spot to take a nap.
I didn’t think it was possible, but these pictures just got like 100 times cuter.
