Let’s get one thing straight before we get into this: Lena Dunham kissed Brad Pitt . Awkward as it was, she went for it. She seized the moment and did what most women would do in her shoes. For that, she has earned my respect.
She recently opened up about the exact moment her lips met Brad, and the secret moment they shared afterward on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live!
Lena Dunham is a hero. Period.
For several months there has been a very cringe-worthy photo of her trying to give Brad Pitt a kiss, and awkward and embarrassing as it may be, she’s owning it.
I wouldn’t have been able.
But let’s be honest for moment. If Brad Pitt were standing mere inches away from you, would you *not* try and kiss him (with his consent of course)? I feel like it would be counterintuitive to do anything to the contrary.
So, first of all, hats off to Lena for fulfilling her destiny.
I couldn’t be prouder.

This wasn’t the first awkward situation Lena has had with Brad, however.
Last year in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live , she explained how the paparazzi managed to capture a photo of her flashing Brad her underwear.
Lena, babe, what’s going on?
“The paparazzi did get a picture of me flashing Brad Pitt my underwear,” she said.
“Was this part of the movie? [ Once Upon A Time In Hollywood ],” Jimmy asked .
“Certainly no,” Lena replied. “That was between takes.”
“It made sense in the moment,” she added. “We were talking about Cupie dolls”.
“It’s like, an illustrated character of the 1920s, and someone asked ‘What’s a Cupie doll?’ and I said , ‘I can show you. I got one right here on my side,'” she said pointing toward her hip.
“Skirt comes up,” she said, gesturing the act of lifting up her skirt. “If you got it illustrated on your body, who are not to show it?”
“And my publicist actually asked me directly not to do it again on this show,” she joked .
But let’s get back to her awkward kiss.
It all went down at the UK premiere of Brad’s latest film, *Once Upon a Time in Hollywood*.
Which was quite some time ago. But is evidently, still very relevant.
In a recent interview on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! , she gave fans the whole scoop!
She explained that despite some of the fan allegations that she had kissed Brad without his consent, that was far from the truth.
She wanted to make it perfectly clear that she did, in fact, have his consent.
And we are all very happy that she has cleared that up.
“I don’t know if you remember there was a sort of awkward photo taken of the two of us,” Lena said.
I mean, how could we forget?
“Well, the way the internet read it was I had somehow physically accosted him causing him a great deal of stress…”
She explained that she would *never* do such a thing to someone she idolizes so much.
“I would never force a kiss on Brad Pitt. I respect him far too much as an artist and a friend,” she said .
I mean, we had a feeling she wouldn’t, but the clarification is great.
At the time, Lena said she was feeling very nervous and anxious over the photo. But Brad managed to ease her mind over a friendly slice of pizza.
“Later that night, because he knew I felt nervous, he took me into a room and we secretly ate pizza,” she said .
“And I told him I like his ring and he gave it to me,” she added.
This is adorable. I didn’t think it was possible to love Brad Pitt any more, and now I do .
He gave her his ring. Just like that. Just because she said she liked it.
What an angel.
“He’s a truly kind person who can read the room,” she said.
“And I was super nervous because I was around so many idols of mine and he made me feel pretty cool .”
Now I really want to meet this guy.
