As much as I say I want to be famous, I can’t imagine being a celebrity. Having all eyes on you no matter what you do would be tricky — especially when debuting a new look. Everyone and their mother has an opinion about everything these days, so when Kourtney Kardashian recently showed off her big chop, I’m sure she was anxious to see what everyone would think.

Kourtney has also been the one to experiment the least with her personal style, and that includes her signature long, black hair.
However these days, Kourtney is living her best life with a new beau *and* a new hairdo.
Okay, to be fair, Kourtney has been dating Travis Barker since January, so it’s not that new, but still, go with me on this!
Now, back to that new haircut…
Posting a selfie to her 141 million Instagram followers, Kourtney showed off her big chop.
Apparently, the look was a long time coming, according to Kourtney’s hairstylist, Peter Savic.
“Kourtney always had [it in] the back of her mind [to] one day to cut her hair short,” Peter told People .
“It’s a soft, simple and feminine haircut. I cut about eight to ten inches off,” the celebrity hairstylist explained.
“It’s very easy. That’s what I love. She air dries, but if she goes out then she blow-dries her hair or straightens it. In the pictures she’s posted with the haircut, I like that she’s trying to see everything she can do with it,” he added.
