Kate Hudson and her mom, Goldie Hawn, aren’t just mother and daughter, they’re best friends!
In an interview with each other People‘s beauty issue, Kate revealed that Goldie taught her “so many things” about sex.

For many people, talking about sex to their parents can be an awkward and uncomfortable thing.
But if you’re as close as Kate Hudson and her mom, Goldie Hawn, no conversation topic is off-limits!
In *People’s* recent beauty issue, the mother daughter duo sat down to interview each other.
And my takeaway from the segment is that Kate and Goldie are adorable .

Kate revealed that some of the best conversations she had with her mom when she was younger, were when Goldie was exercising.
“Mom had this trainer. And you were drinking wheat grass every morning and you’d do aqua aerobics,” she said .
“Remember the StairMaster? It’s not what you say, it’s what you do. Right?” Goldie asked.
“As a parent, as long as we actually behave the way that we are speaking, then we’re showing them .”
Kate said it was sometimes difficult to get her mom’s attention because she was constantly on the go.
“I was always like [she turns her head side to side], ‘Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom. Mom! Mom,’” Kate said , laughing.
“You know, she was just constantly moving. I’d sit and that’s when I could really talk to Mom, when she was working out.”
“Once we had a whole conversation about men. And I sat there like, ‘Wow, that’s my mom .’”
“It’s funny, I’m very kinetic,” Goldie added. “Gotta move, gotta get out, gotta leave this town.”
Kate then recalled that she and her mom have always been fairly transparent about the birds and the bees.
“What did you teach me about sex? There are so many things,” Kate said, looking at her mom.
“We talk a lot about sex. Surprisingly,” she added .
Goldie then chimed in, recalling that she always kept it real with Kate when it came to taboo things, like sex.
“I said, ‘I want you to understand something about Mommy,'” she said .
“‘I’m not a prude. I love sex.’”
“Oh, that’s right,” Kate responded. “And then she said, ‘Sex is so much fun. But it’s better when it’s with one person .’”
“And that was a good lesson,” she added.
Couldn’t have said it better myself, tbh!
I think that is the type of honesty that children probably respond well to.
But as Kate got older, Goldie decided to broach the way she spoke about sex differently — being even more open and honest.
“You were trying to engage and asking like what was going on with me sexually,” Kate recalled .
“I was like, ‘Mom, let’s just say that I’m kind of a sexually-oriented type of personality,’ she continued.
“And she goes , ‘Please, I have known that since you were two years old.’ I was like, ‘Mom!‘”
Case and point! Kate and Goldie are mother daughter goals!
Obviously, there are some lines that should never be crossed when discussing sex with a parent . But it looks like they’ve found a happy medium.
