Congratulations are in order for Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin. Just two days before her 40th birthday, the actress announced she was engaged to longtime love, Mescal Wasilewski.
In a heartfelt Instagram caption, Jodie got candid with fans about finding love at such a pivotal time in her life, and how eager she is to marry her beau.

Jodie Sweetin has had an emotional past few weeks.
Of course, hearts were broken after news of comedian, and Jodie’s on-screen dad Bob Saget’s death earlier this month.
Jodie posted an emotional series of photos and vowed to make a joke at Bob’s funeral.
“I would always say ‘you’re the best TV dad ever,’ And he was,” Jodie wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post last week.
“I’ll miss you Bob. I’ll make sure and tell an inappropriate joke at your funeral. In your honor. I know you would’ve wanted that.”
In the days following Bob’s death, Jodie has put an emphasis on remembering all of his great qualities.
Just as fans could have guessed, the 39-year-old actress is a ray of sunshine who is always looking for the silver lining.
She has also taken time to be with her longtime boyfriend, Mescal Wasilewski.
She and Mescal have been together since 2018.
In September, Jodie called her beau her “safe place” in a sweet selfie taken at the desert.
“This is one of my favorite photos of @ghostfacelito and I from my birthday last January. I look at this picture and see such peace and love and ease and warmth. All of the wonderful things you’ve brought to my life,” she began.
“You’re my safe place.”
“My partner. My best friend. We’ve made it over 4 years. Nearly 3 of them were spent thousands of miles apart.”
“But 4 years ago, on Sep 16, we made a decision. That we were completely in this. I wake up every day and love you even more,” she concluded.

Mescal has also shared his love for Jodie on social media.
“While we can’t eat our way through street fairs currently, I know that sharing moments with you has brought about a level of intimacy that I didn’t think I was capable of,” he wrote on Valentine’s Day last year.
“Thank you for not just loving me but allowing me to fumble my way through my fears and feel safe with you while I do. Love you babe,” he concluded.
Now, this sweet duo has taken their love to the next level by announcing their engament.
Posing a sweet selfie on Instagram, Jodie shared the exciting news.
She began with the following Maya Angelou quote:

“I love you Mescal, for always,” she continued. “You’re my person. I can’t wait to see the life that lies ahead for us.”
“Here’s to us, @ghostfacelito and our life of adventures. Together.”
“I think I’m really gonna like turning 40,” she concluded.
She went on to share an additional photo of the ring on her Instagram story, and I love how unique it is!
