The former Counting On star, Jill Duggar Dillard, recently shared some of the great lengths she goes to, to help deal with her son’s allergies — as recommended by her allergist.
You might recognize Jill Duggar Dillard from the TLC reality series, *Counting On*.

But she has come a long way since the 10th season of the show wrapped up.
For instance, she has departed with a lof of her family’s strict policies that we were used to seeing on *19 Kids And Counting* and *Counting On*.

Throughout the years, their family has been very candid about the religious guidelines that they follow.
They are devout independent Baptists, and as such, there are some radical guidelines that their family implemented.

From not being allowed to befriend anyone outside of their faith, having all their dates chaperoned by their parents , not being allowed to have social media until they’re engaged, to having their outfits dictated, there was very little room for the Duggar women to make their own unapologetic choices.
But since marrying her husband, Derick Dillard, and starting a family of their own, Jill has been expanding her horizons a bit!

For example, while it is preferred by her parents that she wear maxi or midi length dresses and skirts instead of pants, Jill has been spotted a few times in recent years, spicing up her wardrobe.
In late 2019, she shared a photo on Instagram wearing black, leather leggings!

I certainly never expected to see any of the Duggar women in leather leggings , but I’m here for it!
I digress. Now that Jill has a bit more independence from her family, she has also been coming into her own as a mother to her two-year-old son, Samuel.

She recently took to Instagram to share some of the measures she takes, dealing with her son’s allergies.
“Stuffies in the freezer! We recently found out Sam has strong allergies to dust!,” she wrote alongside a photo of her son’s stuffed animals in the freezer.

“Both of the boys love their stuffies…so when the allergist mentioned they could be contributing to collection of dust it made total sense ! .”
” In addition to being better at washing bedding and vacuuming at least once a week (I know…we still have carpet ),” she continued.

“The allergist recommended freezing anything that’s tough to wash at least once a month for 48-72 hrs.”
“To hopefully kill the dust mites!,” she added.

“I usually bag them up to keep moisture off of them and contain them a little. “
Jill and her husband also have a second son, Israel David, 5.

She recently revealed that she was able to get some shopping done during this pandemic without having her children tag along.
Got out yesterday to grab a few things BY MYSELF for the first time since this whole #coronaviruspandemic thing,” she wrote.

“And came home with this tree hanging out my window .”
“I don’t like to think of myself as an emotional purchaser,” she wrote.

“But I have to say there was something therapeutic & satisfying about getting a tree .”
“…Now I’m off to plant the tree…and hopefully keep it alive. lol,” she added.

Jill seems to be killing it at motherhood, even during these trying times!
And thanks to her, if you were looking on some tips on how to better manage yours or your children’s allergy to dust, look no further!

I had no idea that putting stuffed animals in the freezer made a difference!
