If you’ve watched the first two seasons of “You” on Netflix, then you’re probably well-aware of the hotly debated topic that is, whether or not Joe Goldberg is attractive.
No offense, but Joe is not hot.
He is a murderer.
Penn Badgley, on the other hand, is definitely hot.
It’s really important that you know the difference. I cannot stress this enough.
Joe = Murderer.
Penn = Hot actor.
Some people feel torn, which is totally understandable.
I find it admittedly confusing at times to watch someone so attractive do such ugly things.
But it’s crucial that we’re not attracted to obsessive, stalker-murderers because that would open up a whole other can of worms that would take years of therapy to sort out. Just sayin’.
This person gets it.
Joe Goldberg fixates on random women, stalks them, manipulates them, and murders everyone in their life. There is nothing cute or romantic about that!
Even Penn, himself, has tweeted his dismay over the number of fans who have been romanticizing his character.
There is nothing sexy about a serial killer, ladies!
Some people have actually requested to be kidnapped by him, but thankfully, he was having none of it.
Good to know that Penn Badgley is nothing like the character he plays IRL. Very reassuring.
Okay, so, anyway, Jennifer Coolidge posted a photo with Penn on Instagram last week, with an amazing NSFW caption, announcing that she has the hots for Penn.
I already loved Jen before she posted this, but now I respect her on a whole new level.
“I met @pennbadgley when he was 15 on the show “Do Over”,” she wrote.
“And now I really wanna do him over.”
This photo paired with this caption is legendary.
This was the last thing I pretty much ever expected to see. But I am so, so glad that it happened.
