Game of Thrones is known for many things, and lately, it’s for making mistakes.
For most shows, mistakes mean errors in character development. For Game of Thrones it’s editing mistakes.
Warning: MAJOR spoilers ahead for episode five.
‘Game of Thrones’ isn’t always perfect.
No matter how much they may try, Game of Thrones just cannot escape editing blunders.
They may have millions of dollars to spend per episode but sometimes the little things just escape them.
Last week, the editing error had to do with Dany.
While most of her scenes are epic, she had one scene that just didn’t quite hit the mark.
To be fair, at least it wasn’t her fault.
The Mother of Dragons forgot about her coffee.
During Winterfell’s version of a party, Dany was feeling very isolated.
In the scene, fans were meant to pay attention to the tension growing in the room, but they immediately spotted the coffee cup.
It quickly became a meme.
Obviously, with something as big as this happening, Twitter has to make it into a meme.
What would the internet be if it didn’t have people making memes out of major mistakes?
If you can’t beat them, join them.
Game of Thrones even responded to it. The show took it in stride, at least.
They knew that the best way to fight the internet is to join the internet.
Celebs everywhere joined in on the fun.
Count on Ellen to make a joke out of it!
Seriously, this first mistake is going to go down in history, as much as the upcoming second mistake will.
But at least the cast thought it was hilarious.
Luckily, the actors all found the humor in it.
Who knows what’s going on with how the producers feel about it.
It’s also not the first time we’ve seen a coffee cup!
Coffee is really a must in the world of Game of Thrones , especially when you’re always in a war.
Last time, Jaime Lannister was the culprit.
The new error came during a much more serious episode.
The biggest war has finally come to our screens as Dany makes a play for King’s Landing.
It was an exceptionally brutal episode but well done, for the most part.
Jaime Lannister had a big part to play.
The King Slayer was facing his final moments in the episode. He was trying to find Cersei and convince her to leave with him.
Unfortunately, he would never make it out of the city.
Jaime had one last battle.
Jaime had one last battle to end his arc in the show.
He finally put a much-needed end to Euron Greyjoy. No one was sad to see him go.
He spent his final moments with Cersei.
The two Lannisters got to spend their final scene together.
While it was supposed to be touching, it was in this scene that fans actually found another mistake.
People didn’t notice the mistake right away.
People were more concerned with Jaime’s fate than they were with the mistake, at first.
That ended up changing when people looked further into the episode.
They seemed to have forgotten that Jaime lost his hand.
Better luck next time Game of Thrones .
While the whole episode had Jaime’s golden hand in close-ups, at the end of the line, the editing team seemed to let one shot slip.
Did you notice any other editing mistakes? Let us know!
