Fridges: They stink.
There’s no getting around it. Sometimes, fridges just smell bad. If that smell is stuck in your fridge — even after cleaning —and you’re at the end of your rope, never fear! A TikTok user has the hack you need to get that smell out of your fridge once and for all.
Let’s check it out!
One word: ew.

If you’ve cooked something funky, forgotten some lettuce in the fridge, or just plain can’t find the source of it, bad smells can haunt a fridge. It’s a tough thing to admit, but it happens to all of us at some point.
Use some coffee grounds!

Grab some used coffee grounds from your coffee machine and put them in a bowl! It works best if they’re used since you need the nitrogen in them to get the hack to work!
This is so funny.

Listen, @purewow may have been joking about this one, but it’s true! I’d much rather smell coffee grounds than old lettuce, or weird milk. Just because it’s a joke doesn’t mean it’s not true, you know?
Done!

Once the coffee grounds have absorbed all they can, swap them out for a fresh bowl!
I’ve actually used this hack, and I can confirm it works like a charm. It seriously pulls all the odors out of the air!
Some people weren’t impressed.

Anyone with a fridge knows that you can clean it all you want, but those stubborn smells remain no matter what. Not even bleach can save you from a smell that soaks into the plastic of your fridge.
Others shared that the hack DEFINITELY works.

Well, this was a horrifying read. However, it’s definitely a testament to how well the hack works! If coffee grounds can cover up the smell of a decomposing body, they’ll definitely conquer the smells in your fridge.
You don’t have to use coffee grounds, though!

You can definitely use baking soda to keep the smells out of your fridge, but I don’t think it works as well as the coffee grounds hack. Let me know if you agree!
People appreciated the humor.

I’m definitely of the opinion that this TikTok was as funny as it was informative! It’s nice to see people have fun with their tutorials and hacks, you know?
