That’s a little messed up if you think about it.
Not only is there some pretty nightmarish imagery, but the whole concept of this yellow-eyed creature with “maggots in his smile” sneaking into houses seems… well, weird.
But it gets weirder, folks.
Yes, there is actually a prequel to the Grinch called Grinch Night or Halloween Is Grinch Night if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.
And it’s as messed up as it sounds.
The story essentially revolves around “Grinch Night”
(Hence the name).
It’s a night where all the Whos in Whoville have to lock themselves indoors to avoid the Grinch, who descends from Mount Crumpit with a trailer full of literal nightmares to scare the Whos.
A lot of scary stuff happens.
But the one moment that always sticks out in people’s minds is in the sequence we’re showing you.
The main character challenges the Grinch to scare him and we’re treated to a horrific acid trip.
