When it comes to beautifully TRAGIC movies, nothing comes to mind as fast or as EMOTIONALLY as P.S I Love You.
Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler gave us “P.S I Love You” back in 2007 and honestly, the world has never been the same.
Hilary Swank’s character is devastated by the loss of her husband (Gerard Butler) only to find he has pre-written her letters for her to read in the months following his passing.
It’s impossible to watch this movie without crying literally the whole time!
13 years later and it’s still is the best .
SO when it was announced there would be a sequel I was… BESIDE MYSELF, TO SAY THE LEAST.
“P.S I Love You” was based off a novel written by Cecelia Ahern, which (PLOT TWIST) has a sequel called “Postscript.”
Alcon Entertainment has acquired film rights to “Postscript” and will co-finance and co-produce the film with Black Label Media.
And we KNOW it’s gonna be good because Alcon produced the first film back in 2007, which earned $156 MILLION dollars world wide.
According to the Mirror “Postscript” picks up on Hilary Swank’s character Holly seven years after her husband’s death when her sister asks her to tell the story of her “P.S I Love You” letters on her podcast.
Holly is then approached by a group of listeners, inspired by her late husband’s letters and want to create similar parting messages for their loved ones to find after they have died.
The synopsis continued: “The club wants Holly to help them. Holly is sure of one thing – no way is she being dragged back to the grief she has left behind. It’s taken seven years to reinvent herself, and she’s ready to move on with her life.”
“But Holly comes to realize that when you love someone, there’s always one more thing to say …”
Buzz around the second book has been AMAZING and the fans are so excited.
SO YA, IT’S GONNA BE INSANE!
I can’t wait to bring a full box of tissues to the theater 🙂
