While some dogs prefer land activities like playing fetch and chasing squirrels, others prefer to be out on the open water.
Like Duma, a Jack Russell who became an overnight celebrity for being about to waterski. This is a water sport where an individual (or dog) wearing a pair of skis on their feet is towed behind a fast-moving boat.
“She stands here, and, we don’t glue her feet down or anything, she’s just got a good grip and she’s got good balance,” her owner told Global BC . “She wakeboards behind a real powerful RC boat and she’ll actually go like 20mph.”

Waterskiing is One Thing, Flyboarding Is Entirely Another
This is an extreme water sport where athletes are propelled high above the water using equipment called flyboards. While it’s not for the faint of heart, it is doable by a dog!
TikTok user @jeff_gazzola proved this on the app by sharing a video of his golden retriever flying above the water.
