If you’ve ever had to take a pet to the vet’s office, you’ll know that it’s a pretty tough task. Like kids (or adults, for that matter) at the doctor’s office , pets don’t love having to sit around for their annual checkups or have to deal with getting booster shots.
But one golden retriever on the internet defied all odds by being a sweet, excited, and overall good boy during his trip to the vet.
Bailey, star of the YouTube channel Funny Dog Bailey , had a recent checkup at the vet. His appointment was caught on camera, and he seemed surprisingly happy to be there.
The Video of Bailey’s Vet Appointment Was Uploaded Just a Few Short Days Ago
But it’s already been viewed nearly 60 thousand times by adoring fans who just can’t get enough of this loveable pup.
The video starts with Bailey walking into the reception area, excitedly roaming around and sniffing everything he can. This is usually the point where most dogs try to turn around and hightail it out of there, but Bailey continued.
He greeted one of the staff members before getting his weight checked, and then calmly sat around while the veterinarian performed his checkup.
Commenters Couldn’t Get Over How Cute Bailey Was in the Video!

With all the tail-wagging and panting, it’s hard not to smile while watching Bailey at the vet. He really does live up to the reputation golden retrievers have of being goofy, loveable dogs.
So many commenters expressed just how happy they were to watch Bailey look so happy. Adorable videos like these are definitely one of the best ways to brighten your day.
You Have To Admit – His Energy Is Pretty Infectious

Pets tend to be extremely nervous at the vet’s office, so it was nice to see a dog who seemed to enjoy being there for once. Some commenters pointed out that Bailey probably loved getting all the attention from the veterinary staff.
Others, Though, Believed That Bailey Might Have Actually Been Nervous

It isn’t always easy to tell how a dog is feeling, especially since they always look happy when they’re panting. But some of the commenters thought that Bailey’s panting and moving around could’ve been a sign that he was actually anxious rather than excited. Either way, he still behaved incredibly well for a pup who had to go and visit the vet.
