Back in June, President Donald Trump tweeted that after three-and-a-half years in his cabinet, Sarah Huckabee Sanders left her position as his press secretary to return to her home state of Arkansas.
At the time, he suggested that she run for governor of the state, but it seems that at least for the time being, she has another position in mind.
As The Huffington Post reported , she will now follow a similar path to former White House communications director Hope Hicks and former deputy press secretary Raj Shah by making the switch to Fox News.
Sanders is scheduled to make her first appearance on a September 6 broadcast of Fox & Friends.

According to Variety , she will then be expected to provide commentary for the Fox News Channel, the Fox Business Network, Fox News Digital, and the Fox Nation streaming service.
As she said, “I am beyond proud to join their incredible stable of on-air contributors in providing political insights and analysis.”
During her tenure as Press Secretary, Sanders was often at the center of clashes with reporters.

In many cases, this had to do with the fact that the number of press briefings she held diminished as President Trump’s term went on.
One particular case from December of last year, she reportedly held a 10-minute briefing session after three weeks without one, which prompted one reporter to yell “do your job, Sarah!”
However, she also remained controversial when these press briefings actually took place.

As Variety reported , she acknowledged to Special Counsel Robert Mueller that she gave reporters inaccurate information concerning the dismissal of former FBI head James Comey.
Furthermore, The Huffington Post reported that she also claimed Chicago’s crime rate persists despite having the toughest gun laws in the country and that President Obama ordered a wiretapping of Trump.
The latter claim was later found to be untrue, while the former claim did not address the fact that Illinois’s concealed carry ban was lifted in 2012.
What made other reporters suspicious of her, however, will likely be considered an asset at Fox News.

Namely, her unflinching support of President Trump’s policies, which are also popular with a significant portion of Fox News viewers.
As Variety reported Trump often makes his disapproval of on-air personalities who disagree with him public, so Sanders’ role as a contributor will likely bolster his relationship with the network.
