Alright folks, gather round. The movie that is, as of right now, in the top 100 horror movies of the 2010s is getting a sequel.
For so long, we had nothing to go on, but we finally have some brand new footage to keep us sedated until the trailer.

Remember all the good horror movies from the 2010s?
Get Out and Us started Jordan Peele’s career as a horror director.
IT was another one that took over cinemas and also started a lot of fanfiction online (yes, it’s true).
But then there was the beauty of ‘A Quiet Place.’
Which not only was a great horror movie, but showed the world that John Krasinski wasn’t just the guy Jim from The Office .
He was also a leading drama actor and a fantastic director.
The plot synopsis was released from Paramount Pictures.
“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence.”
And it only gets scarier from there, so get ready!
“Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
We will even see some new characters in this one!
Cillian Murphy has been added to the cast, which means that the acting is only going to get better from here.
He reportedly plays a “man with mysterious intentions who encounters the Abbotts.”
The first poster for the film was also released.
And fans are wondering whether the glowing radio tower will be part of the threat that the synopsis mentions, or perhaps some helpful people.
Krasinski is very excited to see where his wife takes the next movie after his character could not make it.
“All [my character] wanted to do was survive. And [Evelyn] says, ‘That’s not enough. We have to thrive. We have to let these kids be whole human beings.'”
But will Emily’s character continue to thrive? Or will she become like her husband and just focus on survival?
“And after I’m gone, I’m loving seeing Emily really battle with that — that maybe survival was the way to go. And maybe this idea of thriving was too dangerous.”
Since the first movie made a bunch of money and was critically acclaimed, they were, of course, going to make a second one.
Thankfully, the cinema gods have blessed us with something special.
We’ve got some footage for you! It’s not much, but hopefully, it’ll be enough to sedate you.
An actual trailer is going to come out on New Years Day.
Which is going to be a great way to start off the new year.
And hey, when you fail your resolutions on day one, at least you’ll have something to look forward too!
From the trailer, we can see a few things: There will probably not be a time jump.
Judging from the state of Emily Blunt’s foot, she’s still suffering from the injury she got from the nail on the step!
