Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster, alongside Walgreen’s pharmacy, is raising awareness and funds for the annual Red Nose Day fundraiser.
For the past seven years, Walgreens has partnered with the children’s charity to raise funds for impoverished children across the globe, and now, the actress has joined in their efforts!
Diply had the chance to speak with Jordana about Red Nose Day, as well as the upcoming Fast & Furious film, F9 .
It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since fans first saw Jordana Brewster on the big screen in the first *Fast & Furious* film.

The now 41-year-old mom of two has barely aged since then and feels incredibly honoured to have had such a longstanding part with the franchise.
“I never ever thought it would go on for 19 years. I could have never envisioned that,” she admitted.
Of course being on set with cast and crew you’ve known for years can feel like a family reunion, however, Jordana doesn’t take the role of Mia Toretto lightly.
After so many films, it’s easy for fans to constantly expect more and more from the franchise, and with F9 premiering June 25th, the stakes have never been higher.
“It’s a huge responsibility, but it’s one we take on with full hearts,” she insisted.
Since the pandemic hit, the mom of two has been spending an abundant time with her boys, Julian and Rowan.

“It’s been a challenge,” Jordana laughed. “The last year was a testament to how resilient and adaptable children are.”
One of the ways she’s been able to bond with her boys is by getting them involved with her work with Walgreens and Red Nose Day .
This year, Red Nose Day falls on May 27, 2021.

For those that don’t know, Red Nose Day is a campaign to end child poverty, one clown nose at a time. Through the power of entertainment and community, Red Nose Day has been raising millions to ensure children who need help the most are given nutritious meals, educational services, safe shelter, and more.
To date, the organization has raised over $260 million to help end child poverty.
While many things have changed amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Walgreens is still giving donors the opportunity to sport a red nose.

The usually in-store feature has gone digital! After making a donation , a special Digital Red Nose filter will be unlocked that can be shared on Instagram, Facebook, or Snapchat!
“Red Nose Day helps start these important conversations in a light way,” Jordana remarked. “It’s a great way to teach your kids about service and about helping other kids.” In fact, the actress’s eldest son has been setting aside a portion of his allowance to donate to the campaign in support of Walgreens and his mother’s efforts.
Teaching her sons the importance of giving back has always been a priority for the actress.

“[For kids]I have to make things tangible, and real and practical,” Jordana explained before sharing that she asks her sons to donate a number of their toys before receiving new ones for Christmas or their birthday.
“It’s important to start it at a really young age.”
