James Dean (and yes, it was his real name) was born on February 8th, 1931 in Marion, Indiana.

The young actor would soon begin his career, appearing in a Pepsi Cola commercial before working on bigger projects.

Without a doubt, Jame’s most iconic role was as Jim Stark in the 1955 film, *Rebel Without a Cause.*

This movie cemented the young actor as the cultural representation of teenage angst and rebellion in the conservative 1950’s.

James Dean died in a car crash while driving his brand-new Porsche to an auto rally in Salinas, California, when he was involved in a head-on collision.
