Award shows are often criticized for leaving out major members of the academy in their notorious “In Memoriam” segment of the show.
However, many fans felt the 2021 Oscars In Memoriam was worse than usual. With the exclusion of many beloved actors and a quick rotation between those who were featured, the segment did not go over well on social media.
This past year has seen the loss of countless Hollywood legends.

Amongst those honoured in the 2021 In Memoriam segment included Chadwick Boseman, Christopher Plummer, Kelly Preston, Helen McCrory, Sean Connery,
However, despite the quick transitions between honourees, the Oscars still failed to include several notable names.
One of the most glaringly obvious exclusions was Arrested Development star Jessica Walter.
While a lot of her work was on television, Jessica had received a Golden Globe-nominated for her work in the feature film Play Misty for Me back in 1972.
Fans took to Twitter to express their anger.

The segment also excluded Glee star, Naya Rivera, who passed away last summer.
