Whether or not we choose to admit it, life has an ugly side to it. And while some will argue that you can’t appreciate the sunshine without first knowing the rain— it doesn’t make the clouds easier to bear.

Does anyone else find this kind of sad? Part of me feels like I’ve prematurely caused the death of millions of cells, all so that I could appease my own vanity and have a suntan.
