Considering Dany would be making one of the most shocking decisions in all of Game of Thrones history, she knew people would have plenty of opinions on it.
When it came to episode five, her shocking twist surprised fans everywhere.
It was so unlike Dany, fans were completely shocked.
No one was expecting it.
King’s Landing burned to the ground.
The city was torn apart by her dragon’s flames.
Both innocents and her enemies were destroyed. It was horrific to watch.
But in the end, she got the Iron Throne.
But only for a hot second.
Still, we’re sure that in the brief moment she got to spend with the Iron Throne, that it meant something very special to her.
And then came her bitter end.
Dany dying upset a lot of people.
Emilia Clarke knew fans would be upset with her death, but knew they’d hate her decision making more.
She knew people wouldn’t be happy with her shocking twist.
“Every time someone would come up to me and say, ‘I love her!’ inside, I was thinking, ‘Well you’re not going to love her for long!’” she said .
So what was her tactic?
She continued with , “I would just nod and smile, and that’s why I had this sort of furrowed-eyebrow expression a lot of the time. My eyebrows would sort of curl up,”
