The latest celebrity to release a tell-all memoir is legendary musician, composer, and performer Sir Elton John.
The 72-year-old legend has had quite the year in the spotlight.
His life story was the inspiration behind the biographical musical Rocketman , which came out earlier this year.
Now, the music legend has penned his own memoir.
Me was released on October 15th to rave reviews.
The singer isn’t holding anything back, and revealed his dislike for Madonna’s behavior towards Lady Gaga back in 2012.
Elton has supported and endorsed Gaga since the beginning of her career, which has flourished into a beautiful friendship. In fact, Gaga is godmother to Elton and his husband David Furnish’s two children.
Needless to say, Elton wasn’t happy when Madonna dissed “Born This Way” saying it sounded too much like her 1989 hit “Express Yourself,” calling it “reductive” in an ABC News interview .
While Elton acknowledged the two songs “definitely sounded familiar,” in his book, he “couldn’t see why [Madonna] was so ungracious and nasty about it — particularly when she claims to be a champion for women.”
“I think it’s just wrong — an established artist shouldn’t kick down a younger artist right at the start of their career,” he continued.
