Now that Veronica Mars has come to a close, it’s time to go into a retrospective of the series’ end. So gear up, Martians (that’s what you Veronica Mars fans call yourselves, right?).
The ‘Veronica Mars’ has finally ended.

With a movie and a quick little mini-series, the series has reached its finale and… well, honestly, fans are both satisfied and a little bit sad.
I mean…

That means we’ll have no more Veronica Mars to look forward too, but on the other hand, the series got a pretty decent send-off in the final eight episodes it was given.
Without further ado, we’re going to explain the last breaths of this awesome show about murder, mystery and a bunch of other “m” words.

Possibly… marriage? (Cue suspenseful music).
SPOILERS!

Obviously, we’re taking a one way trip to spoiler town here, so if you’re just starting the series or something else along those lines, then stop right there this instant, compadre!
Now that they’re gone, where do we begin?

I supposed it would be best to begin at the beginning of the final season because that’s where the ending… well, begins.
In the beginning Veronica is doing her thing when suddenly there’s a bombing at the Seaside Motel.

Four people are killed and one Penn Epner (Patton Oswalt) is injured when he gets a piece of shrapnel is his back.
Veronica and Logan are hired to take the case by Daniel Maloof

Who is the brother of one of the victims, and he and his family don’t trust the police.
Of course, Veronica takes the case.
Speaking of Veronica and Logan, they decided that they would get married.

It’s a quick city hall affair and it’s perfect for Veronica Mars fans everywhere.
Also…

In the beginning, Veronica teams up with her father, Keith in order to find a mysterious new evil-doer who is wreaking havoc all across their little town of Neptune.
The two must discover his identity.
Now this bomber…

Who’s played by Patton Oswalt and through a series of Veronica Mars type mystery-solving and shenanigans, is finally discovered.
At the end of the series, they capture him and all seems hunky-dory in her world.
But unfortunately Penn Epner left one last surprise for his now arch-foe.

A backpack filled with all sorts of goodies, but namely a bomb that he’s put in the back of her car.
If I told you that the series ended with a death, who’s do you think it would be?

Keith’s? Penn’s? Veronica herself?
Well, I’m sorry to say it was none of the above.
It was Logan.

Yes, while attempting to move Veronica’s car, the bomb goes off and he is killed. Veronica is obviously pretty darn sad.
However, she finds some redemption when she discovers a voicemail…
Left by Logan.

That states:
“I want to marry Veronica because she’s the toughest human being I’ve ever met. Blows that would destroy most people, she always picks herself back up.”
And then she meets a girl named Matty, who lost her father in the first bombing.

She takes the girl under her wing (kind of) and the series can begin anew with a fresh protagonist.
