Take a moment and think about the best possible movie-viewing experience. If you’re anything like me, you picture a tall glass of wine and your furry friend curled up beside you.
Unfortunately, most movie theaters frown upon sneaking wine bottles into a showing, and forget about trying to get your dog in there, either (something to do with health code violations, I don’t know.)
One movie theater in Texas wants moviegoers to have the absolute best experience.
So, not only do they let you bring your dog in to catch a flick with you, but they also offer bottomless wine, and I don’t think there’s even been anything greater in the history of mankind.
We did it guys, we’ve finally reached the peak of our existence. Well done.
K9 Cinemas is located in Plano, Texas, and invites you to bring your dog along for a fun doggy movie date.
According to Fox5 , the dogs are given comfy sofas to lounge on and some delicious treats to enjoy, so you don’t have to worry about them mooching for your popcorn.
(Side note: never feed your dog popcorn .)
The cinema’s founder, Eric Lankford, wasn’t always in the dog-and-wine-movie-experience game.
He actually used to work in pharmaceuticals before he left to open the pet-friendly theater in 2018.
“I wanted to do something that made me happy for once instead of just chasing money and create something that made myself and others happy,” he told Fox5.
Although the theater doesn’t play brand new releases, it definitely makes up for that with its theme nights.
These include “karaoke margarita night” and “bring your dog to church night,” so you can bet there’s always something exciting happening at this theater, even if you can’t see the latest Avengers flick there.
There are some rules you must follow if you want to enjoy a movie with your dog, though.
First, clean up after your pet. That’s a given, and that’s just common courtesy. You also must bring the proper papers to prove your furry friend is up to date on all their shots. After that, you’re good to go and watch a movie with your favorite doggo!
Tickets are $5 for dogs, $9 for children, and $12.50 for adults, but can you really put a price on the perfect doggy date night?
Plus, remember, bottomless wine .
