Since social distancing became a thing in response to the pandemic, grocery stores have seen shortages of baking ingredients. I don’t know what it is about the pandemic that just screams “bread,” but many people have caught the baking bug. Instagram feeds have transitioned from curated photos of events and places to brown bricks of banana bread.
Did you know banana bread isn’t the only bread you can make, though? I know, wild! Might we suggest trying a savory pickle bread the next time you get your mixing bowl and flour out?
People love pickles, okay. I would say people love them just as much, if not more, as they love bananas.
So if your sweet tooth is feeling a little sensitive these days, give a more savory dill pickle bread a try!
I know, we never thought to make it either, but how delicious does this look?
This pickle bread recipe by Savory Moments requires a lot of ingredients you might already have on hand.
Most importantly, it doesn’t require yeast, which I have not been able to find for over a month now.
Would the tangy taste of the bread pair perfectly with a caesar? Yes.
Did a breakfast ever look so complete?
Fresh out of the oven with some butter?
Sounds like snacking heaven.
