The Police Arrested Him On Sunday
The Tuscaloosa County Jail booked the star player on Sunday night at 6:45 p.m. ET leading the Alabama school team to kick him off the roster.
The Prime Suspects
The Tuscaloosa Police Captain, Jack Kennedy shared some details about the shooting saying it happened early on Sunday morning before they picked up Miles, 21, and another player, Michael Lynn Davis, 20.
Jamea Harris Died Immediately

The victim Jamea Harris from Birmingham was shot and killed in the Strip off University Boulevard and Miles and Davis are the prime suspects.
Shooting Cause
The police believe the shooting occurred from a minor argument and the victim, Harris, was a passenger in the attacked car.
No Relationship Between The Victim, Suspects, And Driver
The Tuscaloosa County Police hasn’t established a relationship between Harris and the car driver. He (the car driver) reported the shooting to campus police at 1:45 a.m. and admitted he retaliated.
Miles And Davis Were In The Hospital

Both suspects, Miles and Davis, were in the hospital around the time of the shooting, and one got treatment for an injury. It wasn’t life-threatening, but the police refused to disclose which one had sustained the injury.
Alabama Lets Go Of Miles
Alabama cut ties with Miles by removing him from the roster, clearing his bio on the department website, and kicking him out of campus. Before the police disclosed the news, the department excused his absence, citing an ankle injury.
U of A Releases A Statement
The University released a statement saying,
They’re grieving the unfortunate accident and extend condolences to the victim, Harris.
Harris Had A Son

Despite his talents, it’s easy for U of A to let Miles go because it compromises the school’s integrity. Harris had a toddler son.
A Career Cut Short
Miles played six games this season before getting off the team. He ranked fourth on the Alabama basketball team’s table last December.
