Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell have no shortage of hilarious moments.
For one, there was the time the married couple went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and played a round of “Taste Buds.”
This kind of hilarity *deserves* to be watched.
“IT LOOKS LIKE FINGERS.”
During an interview on Ellen, Kristen shared how her youngest daughter, Delta, 5, got petroleum jelly stuck in her hair.
This is just one of the many crazy parenting stories the couple has.
They also have daughter, Lincoln, 7.
“She has this intense obsession with bathing with her stuffies,” Bell explained, adding that she left the room to go cook.
“So she’s in there and I go to get her out, and I pull her out and go, ‘Oh, I don’t think you got the conditioner out of your hair.’ And she’s like ‘No, I did, I rinsed it!’”
“Ten minutes later, as I’m putting her pajamas on, I’m like, ‘What did you use?’ And she was like, ‘The Vaseline!’” she continued.
“It was quite a bit of Vaseline,” she said when Ellen questioned whether Delta had used the whole tub.
It certainly looked like it.
The star even had to turn to her followers to get advice.
“My daughter just washed her hair with Vaseline and I can’t get it out. Has this ever happened to anyone?” she said on Instagram stories at the time.
“Does anyone have any tips on how to get it out? … I washed it three times now but it’s not getting any better.”
Thankfully, she found a solution in the end.
She explained it in full to Ellen:
“And how you get it out is this: it was three rounds of Hello Bello shampoo, one round of clarifying shampoo, two rounds of dish soap, and then we still had to wait four days because none of that worked,” Bell explained with a laugh.
Bell also took responsibility for the hilarious parenting moment.
“Her mother left her alone in the bathroom,” she laughed.
That’s one way to do it!
Another time, Dax surprised Bell with a sloth, her favorite animal, and shared the meltdown footage with Ellen.
Dax later went on Ellen himself to talk about the sloth meltdown.
“Luckily, I had seen that level of crying, six or seven times, so I didn’t think I needed to call help or anything,” he joked .
The longtime couple has had their share of awkward moments, too.
Like, ahem , how Dax accidentally sent a flirty text to Kristen’s mom (!!!!!).
Kristen gave all the awkward details during a recent appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“She was coming into town and sends him a text like, ‘Be there by 11,’” Bell began.
“And then sends something else that says, ‘Can’t wait to see you tonight.’ And he meant to respond smiley face, smiley face, smiley face, and instead he responds eggplant, eggplant, eggplant.”
This is definitely not the kind of text anyone wants to be sending their mother-in-law!
“When he did it, he went ‘Oh no! I made a huge mistake!’ And I was like ‘What?’ and he shows me the phone,” she continued.
“By the way, the minute you involve an eggplant emoji, the whole story changes,” Bell laughed.
In the end, the crisis was averted since Kristen’s mom didn’t know the dirty meaning behind an eggplant emoji.
“Which is not how the original [text] read, or what she intended, but thankfully she didn’t know what an eggplant emoji was,” Bell said.
“She does now,” host Ellen joked.
