Well now, the debate has finally ended as David Schwimmer has recently weighed in on the controversy.
When it comes to “breaks” in relationships, my advice is to NOT!
Breaks can be very messy and the rules can be very unclear, and the whole thing can lead to a bigger mess then y’all started with!
Just look at Ross and Rachel!
Every *Friends* fan has their own opinion about wether Ross and Rachel were on a break or not.
If you need a quick lil’ refresher of the infamous fight, Ross and Rachel get into a disagreement about Rachel working on their anniversary.
Amidst the drama, Rachel suggests the couple “take a break” which leads to Ross storming out.
The next morning, Ross finds himself in bed with another woman, while Rachel knocks at the door, eager to makeup.
Rachel sees that Ross has slept with someone else and breaks up with Ross officially.
Ross’ argument was that he wasn’t “cheating” because technically, they were “on a break,” but Rachel believes that’s a copout as the pair were fighting, not officially “on a break.”
Now, David Schwimmer is weighing in on the debate and ending the nearly two decade long fued.
While chatting with Jimmy Fallon, David explained : “People are so passionately divided on whether or not [Ross and Rachel] were ‘on a break’.”
When asked what he believed, David answered, “Yes, it’s not even a question, they were on a break.”
HMMM! Bold statement from you, David!
