A 31-year-old UK man has recently been declared coronavirus-free and was released from hospital after spending 30 days on a ventilator and suffering two strokes as well as heart failure, Daily Mail reported.
Father-of-two Omar Taylor, from Rowhedge, Colchester, had a miraculous recovery from the deadly virus and was discharged from the hospital just in time to celebrate his son’s 2nd birthday.
Information about the coronavirus pandemic is rapidly changing and Diply is committed to providing the most recent data as it becomes available. On March 10, Omar began feeling unwell with a cough and a fever, and on March 14 he was rushed to the hospital while suffering from shortness of breath.

He was later discharged and instructed to self-isolate away from his wife, Kaitlyn, and their two young children.
Over the next week, Omar continued to suffer from breathing problems and on March 19 he returned to the hospital with incredibly low oxygen levels. Just a few days later, he tested positive for the coronavirus.
Omar’s lengthy battle with the deadly disease was hard-fought and saw his health severely deteriorate.

He spent several weeks in intensive care where a double blood clot in his brain caused him to suffer two severe strokes, as well as heart failure. Doctors believe his pre-existing condition of ulcerative colitis left his immune system compromised to the coronavirus.
Omar was kept on a ventilator for 30 days during which time his family wasn’t sure he was going to ever recover.
“First we were told he was going to die, then we were told he would never be able to walk,” his wife, Kaitlyn, told Daily Mail . “This has been everyone’s worst nightmare.”
On April 22, Omar twice tested negative for COVID-19, leading to his doctors to allow his family to come visit him in the hospital for the first time since he was admitted.

“The best surprise we’ve ever had,” Kaitlyn wrote of the emotional reunion on Facebook , along with several heartwarming photos of their children being able to hug their dad again.
“We got to spend about an hour with Omar. [He] was overwhelmed with happiness and very emotional to see his family!”
After eight long weeks spent in hospital, Omar’s condition began to get better, and he was eventually given the green light to be released from the hospital.

“His recovery is an absolute miracle,” Kaitlyn said. “It was utterly overwhelming. He was determined to get out in time for our son’s second birthday and he did it. We’re going to have a really big party, just the four of us.”
His battle against the disease has left Omar paralyzed in one arm and without the ability to speak, although he’s steadily been recovering some of his speech and is now able to speak three words at a time.
Doctors are confident that continuous treatment will see Omar achieve 90% recovery by the end of the year.
Omar was given a joyous send-off from staff at Colchester Hospital on May 4, and the celebrations continued even once the Taylor family pulled into their driveway.

In a video posted to Facebook, the family’s neighbors line the street outside their home, waving Union flags and clapping to offer Omar the best hero’s welcome possible.
“It was amazing seeing everyone coming together to welcome him home,” Kaitlyn said. “The support we have received has been overwhelming.”
Of course, Omar’s journey is not done yet and he still has a long road of recovery ahead of him.

But for now, his family is just happy to finally have their beloved father home with them again.
“It will be a difficult time for us all,” Kaitlyn said. “But we’re so lucky that my husband is alive.”
A GoFundMe page has been established for the Taylor family to help them financially during Omar’s hospital stay and subsequent recovery. As of writing, it has raised over £15,500 (around $19,160 USD).
