I don’t know about you, but I’m not a fan of cleaning in general. I mean, it’s a task I often do, but it’s basically because I’m a neat freak, so I have no choice, ha, ha.
And one of the worst things to clean is the oven , no? Who here agrees with me? Ugh! How do you get all that grime off? Well, a cleaning expert swears by this trick, and I’m about to share it with all of you.
Here’s the truth about cleaning the oven.
Burnt food can often stain and make it pretty impossible to get your oven racks to their previous spotless glory. Isn’t that a fact? And the last thing you want is to spend hours scrubbing them, huh? I know I don’t want to do that.
Hold on a minute, though.
A mom of two who is a self-proclaimed “cleaning expert” recently shared her brilliant idea on TikTok for cleaning the oven rack without needing to put in any elbow grease. I bet you’re all ears now, huh?
Okay, so here’s how it goes.
She took the oven racks out and placed them in the bathtub. Get this — she then threw in dishwasher tablets. Huh? Are you still with me? Then she proceeded to pour hot water over the oven racks.
But that’s not all.
She let the oven racks soak in the soapy water for about three hours. After the time had passed, she took the oven racks out and showed that all the grime simply washed off. OMG!
Isn’t that amazing or what?
I have to be honest I would never have thought of doing that. And now it will save me from trying to endlessly scrub the crevices of those pesky oven racks. I don’t know about you, but I hate that.
I like this idea much better, ha, ha.

There were some who offered other suggestions.
For example, some said to just place the oven racks in the dishwasher instead. I have no idea if that works just as well or not, so you’ll have to experiment yourself. Since I don’t actually own a dishwasher, I think I’ll stick to this bathtub method for now.
