Congratulations are in order for actor Chris Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, who just announced they’re expecting their second child together!
The pair, who tied the knot back in 2019, are already parents to daughter Lyla Maria, born in August 2020. Chris is also a father to son Jack,9, who he shares with his ex-wife Anna Farris.
Multiple sources have confirmed the news of the pair’s second baby to “People” magazine.

The news of Katherine’s pregnancy comes just one month after Chris found himself in hot water in November.
The actor caused a bit of chaos online after posting in honor of Katherine (for seemingly no reason) and thanking her for gifting him with a “healthy” baby girl.
“Guys. For real. Look how she’s looking at me! I mean. Find you somebody that looks at you like that!! You know!?” he began .
“We met in church. She’s given me an amazing life, a gorgeous healthy daughter, she chews so loudly that sometimes i put in my ear buds to drown it out, but that’s love!”
“She helps me with everything,” he gushed. “In return, periodically, I open a jar of pickles. That’s the trade.”
“Her heart is pure and it belongs to me. My greatest treasure right next to my Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck Rookie card. Which if you know, you know is saying a lot.”
He concluded: “It’s her birthday in about 6 weeks. So if I don’t get her anything, I’ll tell her to look back on this post. Love you honey.”
Many fans had an issue with Chris calling out that his wife gave him a “healthy” baby, and felt it was a dig to his ex-wife Anna Farris.
For those who don’t know, Chris’ first child, 9-year-old son Jack, was born prematurely.
At birth, Jack weighed just 3 pounds, 12 ounces and had to undergo several operations.
Today, Jack is nine and healthy, however, he currently has visual impairments as well as a non-life-threatening heart problem.
While some followers thought Chris’ post was sweet, a lot of others took big issues with it.

“Where does your other child fall in line after the baseball card?” asked one user.
“I really don’t think this is as great of a post as you think it is,” wrote another.
‘The least Christian post ever,’ echoed another.
While Chris never fully addressed the controversy, he did claim to be distraught the night the post went viral.
Posting to his Instagram stories at the time, the actor shared that he went to bed feeling “upset and depressed.”
“I knew that if I put on my Christian music playlist and I got out in the woods and ran, that I’d feel better. But I just didn’t want to,” Chris told his followers.
“Gosh was I right! It felt amazing!” the 42-year-old said. “God sat there right next to me.”
Now, the pair are getting ready to welcome their second child! The news comes just a few days after Katherine’s birthday.
In honor of his wife’s birthday, Chris gushed on Instagram, saying: “I simply can’t imagine how lost I’d be without you. You’re beautiful, tough as nails, reasonable, deeply thoughtful, extraordinarily smart, you’re a complete boss, eternally driven and you communicate like no other. Thank you for everything. Thank you for being so instrumental in my growth over the past few years. We fit so perfectly into each other’s lives that our Union is a daily reminder that God is looking out for us.”
“Navigating the odd circumstances of our world is a task I cannot handle alone. And I’m so grateful I don’t have to,” he added.
“Your commitment to helping others is contagious. I’m just so grateful for the harmony you continually bring to our household. I love you so much honey. Happy Birthday!”
We’re wishing all the best for this young family!
