Cats have a language of their own, and when it comes time for food, they’ll do just about anything and everything to let you know they’re ready for some Fancy Feast, whether through verbal or physical means.
For example, my own kitty happens to enjoy glaring at us from her food bowl until someone clues in and realizes that it is, indeed, dinnertime and rushes over to feed her before she starts using her murder mittens on us.
But I must say, I much prefer this cat’s way of informing his owners he’s feeling a little peckish.
Meet Winslow, a 7-year-old fur-baby who uses his very own miniature piano to get his human’s attention.

This chonky boy first gained viral fame earlier this month when his owner, Kate Nyx, shared a video to Twitter showing his impatient piano playing in action.
Upon deciding he was ready to eat, Winslow approached the instrument and began pawing at the keys, performing a song that I can only imagine he’s titled, “Feed Me Now.”
In the caption of the video, Kate explained that despite Winslow’s insistence, dinner wasn’t actually for another two hours.
“Is it time for dinner?” she can be heard asking her cat in the video, to which Winslow confirms with a meow.
However, Kate breaks the bad news when she lets him know he has to wait for his meal, prompting the dissatisfied kitty to rub his head on the keys before playing “You’re Wrong, Give Me Food,” a follow-up to his original song.
As of writing, the hilarious clip has been viewed nearly 1 million times and has over 86,000 likes.

In an interview with Bored Panda , Kate, a musician herself, revealed she actually taught Winslow to tickle the ivories instead of using his voice to get what he wants.
“He used to run around screaming all the time and I was like, ‘this is no good,’” she explained. “The piano is another way to communicate, so he’s not screaming bloody murder.”
And in fact, Winslow doesn’t just use the piano to let Kate know when he’s hungry — he uses it whenever he needs to grab her attention.
While he’s learned a mini jam-sesh in the kitchen is the quickest way to get a treat, Winslow also plays on the piano when his litter box needs to be cleaned, or when he simply wants some pets.
“It’s his alarm system in general,” Kate said. “He learned that I encourage moving his paws up and down the keyboard, so he does that when he really wants something.”
Since his original video went viral, Kate has since uploaded another featuring Winslow playing a piano solo in her new song, “Bean Gotta Scream.”
Understandably, the people of the internet have declared the song a smash hit.
“I can’t lie,” one person wrote. “I’ve played this multiple times and it slaps!”
Another added, “Good lord this is the content i needed. Thank you.”
