TLC and Food Network star Buddy Valastro recently suffered a terrible accident at his at-home bowling alley last weekend.
The 43-year-old Cake Boss star initially took to Instagram to update his 3.7 million Instagram followers on his injury, and is now checking in with fans on Good Morning America.

The show followed Buddy and his family as they ran the popular Hoboken, New Jersey bakery, Carlo’s Bake Shop.
After finding reality TV success with “Cake Boss,” Buddy has moved onto a Food Network baking competition show with fellow pastry master Duff Goldman, “Buddy vs. Duff.”
Unfortunately, all of Buddy’s business ventures will have to be put on hold after the 43-year-old suffered a “terrible” accident last week that left his dominant right arm impaled.
Chatting with *Good Morning America* Buddy described the event at his at-home bowling alley as a “crazy, freak accident.”
“At first I thought I would faint, I looked at my hand and there is blood everywhere and I am stuck … and something told me to stay calm,” Buddy explained .
“The [pin-setting] machine was stuck and it’s not uncommon I went behind to go and fix the machine and I jumped up on top of it like I normally do,” he continued.
“And before I jumped on top of it and before you know it, I turned my head for a second and my right hand got wedged between a fork and this other rod that goes through the fork just pierced through my middle finger and ring finger.”
He went on to explain that the entire family worked together to release his hand from the machine.
Thankfully, his eldest sons 16-year-old Buddy and 13-year-old Marco were able to free their father and turn off the machine.
“We jumped in the car and headed to Morristown Memorial and I had this big metal barb in my hand,” Buddy recalled.
He concluded by confirming he was doing everything he could to heal, but that the journey to recovery will be “an uphill battle.”
