When you picture a wedding day, you usually think of it as the absolute best day in a couple’s life.
But we’re here to tell you that wedding horror stories exist. While this wedding day didn’t go as planned, it sure was a memorable one for everyone.

The wedding quickly turned into a nightmare
It wasn’t the kind of wedding anyone expected, and it will surely stay ingrained in the memories of everyone present forever.
Casey and Alex had been together for years
Casey said she had been in a relationship with her fiancé for six years before they decided to finally tie the knot.
A shocking message disrupted everything
Casey was celebrating at a hotel room with her bridesmaids when she received an anonymous text on her phone.
I mean, what would you expect? Someone sending well wishes or congratulations for such a long-awaited moment… but instead, the texts turned her life upside down.
The texts exposed an affair
The screenshots came with a message that said: “I wouldn’t marry him. Will you?” The texts easily proved that Alex had been having an affair with another woman in the months leading up to the wedding. They sent selfies of both of them together from months and even days before.
The texts read:
“Your body is f—ng incredible and do you know how to use it.”
“I wish my GF had half the skills you do.”
“I’ve never had this kind of connection before.”
Then came, “This weekend. You and I. It is on, hot stuff. Bring your A game.”
He was even making plans for weekend getaways together.
Casey was overwhelmed with emotions
Reading through all those messages made Casey’s heart drop. “I burst into shamed and broken tears,” she said. “My girls were threatening all manner of violence against him. They insisted I call him immediately and call the wedding off.” Her world was falling apart, but the wedding was mere hours away, and she had to make her choice.
Casey decided to confront Alex publicly
“Eventually, we tried to go to bed. I didn’t sleep a wink and when dawn finally broke I awoke the girls and told them my decision – I was going to go ahead with the wedding as expected, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family.”
She chose not to say vows but to read the texts
To “out” her fiancé, Casey decided she would be reading the nasty text messages aloud to all their wedding guests instead of saying her vows. “It seems Alex is not who I thought he was,” the bride said. Wild!
Alex was beyond humiliated
As his private messages were read out loud, he just lost it. “With each word, more color left Alex’s face,” Casey recalled. And he just “stalked out of the church with his best man trailing behind him.”
There was no reception, just a different kind of celebration
“There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”
In the end, it was an unforgettable day
“It was certainly not the wedding day I had planned, but to our credit, it was one h**l of a party.”
