Speaking with the “Irish Times” rock legend Bono explained how he’s helping his country fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
The U2 frontman is using his celeb connections to obtain some much-needed medical supplies for the people of Ireland.
The 59-year-old said he reached out to Apple CEO Tim Cook, South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Walmart’s Doug McMillon, Salesforce’s Marc Benioff and Jack Ma of Chinese retailer Alibaba.

“I just don’t think this is the moment for U2 to be doing a sort of Kumbaya thing,” Bono told the publication .
“It just doesn’t feel right for me – it feels like a time for action rather than words.”

Is that why he didn’t participate in the Imagine video?
U2 has also pledged to donate more than $15 million to support healthcare workers in their home country of Ireland.
Way to go, U2!
