By this point, we’ve heard a lot about how close the Irwin family is, how dedicated they are to carrying on Steve’s legacy , and how adorable baby Grace Warrior looks next to the Australia Zoo’s various animals .
But for the most part, we tend to get these peeks into the lives of the Irwins through the adventures of either Bindi, her brother Robert or her husband Chandler.

It’s not as if her mother Terri makes a point of staying out of the public eye, but we usually see her supporting whatever her children are doing from the sidelines.
However, that perception doesn’t quite give Terri her due and perhaps that’s why Bindi wanted to give her the center stage in a recent Instagram post.
Although Bindi was undoubtedly close to her dad, she’s made a point of showing that the same is very true in the case of her mother.
For instance, there’s a reason that this photo of the two seeing Matrix Resurrections together wasn’t so crystal clear.
As Bindi put it in her caption, “It’s blurry because my sweet mama makes me laugh so much!”
But in another post from January 15, Bindi made it clear that Terri has been far more than just a major source of fun in her life.
In this post’s description , she also credited her mom for giving her sanctuary from the stress that comes with being a new parent.
In Bindi’s words, “Your advice and encouragement when I need it (even in the middle of the night) means more to me than you’ll ever know.”
And on a more adorable note, she also shared the sweet nickname that Terri’s granddaughter apparently has for her as well.
As she wrote, “My sweet mama and Grace’s incredible Bunny. Thank you for always being there for us.”
And while it’s hard to imagine that Terri didn’t already know how appreciated she is by her children, she definitely seemed to take the shout-out to heart.
By the next morning, she retweeted the Twitter version of Bindi’s post, saying , “I am a lucky Bunny!”
