Bill Murray is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re going to get.
This was made more than evident recently when the Groundhog Day actor chose to be interviewed by Jimmy Kimmel from his bathtub. Because why not?
Could this be a sign of Bill finally losing it or is he just being Bill? Come find out for yourself!
Thanks to the coronavirus, talk show interviews are getting a little, well, strange.
So far, most of the major ones — The Ellen Show , The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , and Jimmy Kimmel Live — have all moved their shows online.
With virtual interviews, comes the risk for a whole lot of weirdness.

Lady Gaga and Jimmy Fallon, for instance, recently had the most awkward FaceTime session ever.
Seriously, it was so cringe. If you haven’t watched it, you really should.
Jimmy had called up the *A Star Is Born* actress to reveal some exciting news.

Only problem was, Gaga did not seem at all ready to do so.
“I can’t talk right now. I’m really sorry. It’s just, like, a really weird time right now. Hello? Jimmy? I can’t see you? Am I on TV?” she said.
Of course, we all know what the big news is now.
She curated One World: Together At Home , a special broadcast created to support frontline workers and raise money for battling the coronavirus.
It was an amazing concert and made so many people happy.
As for other strange interviews being done lately, that’s where Bill Murrary comes in.

The Groundhog Day actor has always been super eccentric, so it wasn’t at all surprising when he chose to be interviewed by Jimmy Kimmel from his bathtub…
“I’m drawing my tub now, and I’m having a little difficulty because getting the right temperature is always a problem for me,” the 69-year-old began as he started filling his tub with water.

Murray then gave an explanation for why he decided to be chilling in a bathtub while Jimmy interviewed him.
“For the purposes of today, it’s kind of a celebration, because I haven’t seen you in a while, I thought a bubble bath would be appropriate,” he added.
Bubble baths are serious business, so Murray made sure to acknowledge that his bubbles weren’t up to par quite yet.
“But you know how it is with bubbles, you can’t snap your fingers and make them. They just come when they come.”

No truer statement has ever been spoken.
Jimmy made sure to play along with his guest, because honestly, what else is he meant to do.
“When you quarantine, you don’t have to sit in the tub,” Jimmy quipped. “You’re allowed to go around the house.”

Um, we’ve been sitting in a bathtub for two months now, so clearly, we’ve been doing this whole quarantining thing wrong.
“No, no, depends on the state,” Murray responded.
If you think about it, Murray is actually being a genius.
Jimmy soon explained why:
“Because they do say soap and water are the best things to protect you from the virus, and you’re right in it.”
There are worse plans out there!
As Murray’s tub kept filling with water (and bubbles), Jimmy asked him some questions.

This, of course, included how he’s handling isolation.
To this, he said that he wears a mask whenever he goes outside, which is awesome.
Since Bill gives great advice, Jimmy had him answer a question from a 14-year-old fan who said she has nothing to do around the house.

After Jimmy asked what a 14-year-old Bill Murray would have been up to, he said that he “probably would have been thinking that I was going to save my entire family,” he said.
“I think I would have been staying awake in the middle of the night trying to eliminate the world’s largest ironing pile.”
He also recommended that she should “just walk around the house” because “you’ll be surprised how many insect infestations are happening right now.”
Bill also had a lot of thoughts on whether people should entrust their family members to cut their hair.

To this, Bill said, “Absolutely,” before sharing that his dad cut his hair while he was growing up.
“I think I had maybe 1-2 barbershop haircuts in my whole grade school into high school,” he said. “I now cut my own hair.”
“You should let the kid try to do it himself and then let the dad clean it up,” he said. “It could be a bonding thing. Dad could take one side, I’ll take the other, then we compare.”
