Singer and songwriter Bebe Rexha is one of the most prominent pop stars in music right now. She is beautiful, talented, and has had so many #1 singles I can’t even remember them all! Now, the 31-year-old is responding to claims she copied a fellow singer/songwriter in her latest music video.
If you think you don’t know Bebe Rexha’s music, I promise you that you *do.*

Remember “Meant to Be” from 2019? What about “In The Name of Love” from back in 2016? What about my personal theme song, “I’m a Mess” from 2018?
See, you’re probably Bebe’s #1 fan!
Another song you will most likely be obsessed with is Bebe’s latest single, “Sabotage.”

The video is a beautiful representation of self sabotage, a theme we can all relate to, amirite?
During the video, Bebe lights a match before setting a house on fire.
As it turns out, the 31-year-old is not the first one to set a house on fire in a music video.
Gabbie Hanna’s 2018 music video “Monster” features the same imagery, and people on Twitter quickly noticed.
“I don’t wanna come across as petty or like I’m [expletive] about something that doesn’t involve me…. but Gabbie Hanna did the video first,” tweeted one fan.
“No offense but the video kind of copied gabbie Hannas monster video,” tweeted another.
After seeing people’s reactions on Twitter, Bebe replied to fans.

“Gonna be completely honest I never heard of her. But now I will listen to her music,” Bebe tweeted. “Great minds think alike. My ACTUAL inspo was love the way you lie.”
Of course, she was referring to the 2010 hit by Rihanna and Eminem, “Love the Way You Lie.”
Many of Bebe’s fans were quick to point out no one ~owns~ fire.
What do you make of the video comparisons? Totally a copycat, or just a coincidence? Let us know in the comments below!
