A baby born in Tennessee has been hitting the headlines across the globe due to the unbelievable circumstances of her birth.
Baby Christina Brown was born at the Methodist Le Bonheur Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee.

The hospital shared the details of Christina’s birth on their Facebook page, and the post has since gone viral.
Christina was born on the anniversary of 9/11, at 9:11, and weighing 9 pounds, 11 ounces.

The hospital shared the above photo of little Christina, writing, “On 9/11 at 9:11 p.m. weighing 9 lbs. 11 oz., Christina Brown made an unforgettable entrance into the world last night at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital!”
Christina’s parents and the hospital staff were shocked by her unbelievable birth.

The hospital’s Facebook post quoted Cametrione Malone-Brown, Christina’s mother, as saying:
“We had emotions and we felt it. Then 18 years later on that day 9/11, you find triumph; you find a piece of joy from a day that was so drastic and still hurts.”
Christina’s parents have been praising her birth as a miracle amidst the tragedy of the anniversary.

Ms Malone-Brown was quoted as saying, “She is a new life amongst the devastation and destruction,” according to the BBC .
The hospital staff were said to have let out gasps when the doctor announced the time of birth.

Christina’s father, Justin Brown, recalled the moment that they found out her weight and time of birth in the Independent :
“We heard the doctor announce the time of birth, 9:11, and then when they weighed Christina, we heard gasps of astonishment when everyone realized Christina weighed 9/11, was born at 9:11 and on 9/11.
“It was really exciting, especially to find some joy during a day of such tragedy.”
The Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital has been open for 100 years.

Since its maternity services opened 25 years ago, the hospital has seen the delivery of over 88,000 babies.
The post has been shared hundreds of times across social media with people congratulating the couple.

Comments and well-wishes came from fellow parents and other people who share a birthday with baby Christina:
“My mom is a 9/11 baby. If your new little beauty is anything like her, you will definitely be very proud & well loved parents of a highly innovative and intelligent little girl. CONGRATULATIONS!!!”
“Congratulations! She got some serious blessings over her!”
There have also been countless people telling the couple to buy a lottery ticket!

According to the hospital’s blog , the event of a baby’s date of birth, time of birth, and weight all being the same is incredibly unlikely. Rachel Laughlin, a hospital employee of over 30 years, was quoted as saying:
“I’ve worked in women’s services for over 35 years, and I’ve never seen a baby’s birthdate, time of birth, and weight all be matching numbers.”
Christina’s parents aim to make sure that their new child understands the significance of her birthday.

According to the hospital’s website, Christina has two sisters and a brother who are excited to meet the new addition to their family.
They also said that her parents will make sure that she knows the history behind her date of birth.
To mark the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, memorials took place across the country.

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum hosted its annual commemoration ceremony for the family of victims of the horrific events that took place 18 years ago.
Thankfully, Christina will soon be able to head home with her family.

Christina was born by C-section and is now in very good health. Her family will likely be looking forward to getting her home to meet the rest of her family.
Christina’s birth is a wonderful thing on a day of such sorrow. She is proof that life goes on, even during times of tragedy.
