One artist who specializes in custom concrete and resin treatments has gone viral for his latest creation. Brandon Landis of The Landis Collection in Miami, Florida, recently shared photos of a driveway project he completed.
The images showcasing his innovative work have generated a ton of positive reactions online. That’s because Brandon has come up with a way to make concrete driveways look like wood. You have to see this for yourself.
First, let’s take a look at this driveway before Brandon worked his magic on it.
This stone driveway was nice, sure, but it looked pretty bland for such a unique landscape.
Brandon got to work sanding down the stones. Then, he poured fresh concrete over top and added a wood grain texture.
See? I told you that you were unprepared for this!
All of that is concrete. There’s no wood in sight — just beautiful, crazy detailed concrete. Done by Brandon Landis at The Landis collection, these amazing concrete masterpieces are made with concrete and epoxy.
Here’s a close-up look at how the concrete is textured.
As you can see, he uses a combination of different, pigmented concrete colors to create texture that perfectly mimics wood. This is great for rooms or driveways that wood wouldn’t hold up in.
Brandon is a resin and concrete artist who has found massive popularity with his wood finishes.
This is an example of his work on a staircase, which involves layers of resin (aka epoxy) in different shades of blue. When the resin hardens, it’s basically impenetrable.
His floor work is truly stunning.
While he offers canvases to buy, it’s his floor work where Brandon truly shines. This marble/geode type texture is so sturdy that it will hold up to animals running on it!
But his wood concrete is the thing that’s picking up social media steam.
People are in awe of how he turns concrete and resin into realistic looking wood that will stand the test of time. Brandon documented some of his process on Facebook!
The driveway is tough as h**l.
“This old driveway located in Colorado Springs, CO got a major overhaul using a decorative concrete overlay and stain system that is fully UV stable and slip-resistant.”
The UV stability helps the resin not yellow!
This is a work of art.
“Created with authentic texture and color techniques and sealed with salt and chemical resistant resins loaded with fine metal particles, this driveway is not only beautiful but will stand the test of time.”
It also works in all weather.
When asked if his work could withstand up to -40, Brandon answered that the concrete and resins bond to any surface they’re applied to. The concrete may wear a little, but it will look amazing.
He’s based in Florida, but travels the world to install his art in people’s homes.
He has a team that will fly out for whatever job you can dream up, including the wood texture concrete driveways and walkways! Check out his Facebook for more information.
