If you thought the main job of an architect or engineer was to design structures that anyone could use easily, you’re probably right. And yet, some people still design the strangest, most impractical things out there.
Like whoever made all the stuff in this list. It all ranges from extremely uncomfortable to just flat-out dangerous. You probably need an IQ in the 200s to figure out how to use these things safely.
“Hammock Bathtub.”
I don’t understand how you could fill this thing with water, then put yourself in it… and expect it to not immediately come crashing down, getting bits of wall and tile everywhere. Maybe I’m just not smart enough to get it…
“I always wanted a Treehouse.”
I’ve always found the idea of a treehouse to be really fun and cute. But not like this. Those trees look like they could fall over at any second without the building on top of them.
“These urinals where you can look out to the street. Windows aren’t tinted at all so you can also see in. Even has a sink on top of each one.”
I don’t use urinals, so I have to wonder if people who do see something like this as some kind of power move. Like, staring at passers-by as you pee.
“The Cannonball Loop waterslide, a slide so dangerous it was shut down almost immediately after opening.”
I like to consider myself a thrill-seeker (I love a good rollercoaster). But you couldn’t get me on that thing if you paid me real money.

This picture alone is enough to trigger my fight or flight response, and I don’t even have a fear of heights! Here’s hoping no one has any loose jewelry or phones, and they aren’t prone to dropping food.

The random gator sticking out of the floor is bad enough, but the tile is also kind of ugly, and I think that in itself might be worse.

“No, no, you just don’t get it… you have to be really smart, really talented to be able to climb up and down these stairs. They aren’t meant for the average person.” – The person who built this, probably.

If this list has taught me anything, it’s that there might just be infinite ways to make a staircase both look incredibly stupid, and be incredibly dangerous for the average person.
“Wavy stairs to make going downstairs more fun.”
Normal stairs? Those are a thing of the past. Wavy stairs? Now that’s the future. Who cares if you break an ankle or your neck? This is the next step in human evolution!
“This infinity pool.”
If I’m being honest, I really never understood the point of infinity pools. Like, they just look like an accident waiting to happen. And this one looks like the final boss of all infinity pools, and I kind of hate it.
“So much room to store your neck brace!”
Stairs with storage are a really good space-saving idea. Just… not like this. This looks like an accident waiting to happen.
Also, aren’t there building codes that force you to have rails on your stairs?
Only for the most daring of drivers.
Imagine having this driveway, but you don’t have an automatic garage door opener. Not only is this bad, but having to manually open the garage door would probably end in you having a few broken bones.
“Pontcysyllte Aqueduct – Trevor, Wrexham, Wales.”
Even though it looks like there’s a good amount of space between the water’s surface and the edge of the passage, it’s still stressing me out. Like, that’s a long way up to have so little guardrails.
“These obstacles are almost invisible on the bike lane.”
I guess if you’re good at staying in your own lane, this wouldn’t be a problem. But I can also picture a bunch of people wiping out on those nearly invisible bumps in the road.
“The Storseisundet Bridge in Norway.”
You know, I consider myself a pretty good driver. But I don’t think I could drive up that bridge without saying a few prayers first. I straight up looks like you’re driving up to your doom.
“What was their first idea, stairs made made from piles of rusty nails?”
These stairs look like they’d be a lot of fun to climb. And by fun, I of course mean a total nightmare. It doesn’t even look good, so why would anyone do this?

Something tells me you aren’t supposed to climb those stairs like you would a regular set of stairs. But that also kind of begs the question: why would you build a staircase like that? Unless it has some other purpose…?
“Mural on the back of Acme Incorporated.”
It’s all fun and games until someone out there actually tries to drive down that road. Hopefully, though, most people who drive will be able to tell that it’s just a mural.

This is definitely a good way to keep thieves out of your house. The entryway is so unnecessarily convoluted, there’s literally no point in trying to rob this place.
